Nature of the Study
Note: A single paragraph can be used for each component: one for the method and one for the design.
Identifies the selection of one method (qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods) and why other methods would not work (cite a minimum of one source).
Identifies the selection of the design (within the method) and why it was selected over other designs (cite a minimum of one source).
Provides a brief discussion on the research method (i.e. quantitative or qualitative) and design (i.e. correlation for quantitative study; phenomenological, case study, etc. for a qualitative design); cite a minimum of one source (The student will discuss the method and design in detail in Section 2).
The nature of this study is a qualitative design. Saunders, Lewis, and Thornhill (2015) found that qualitative research is interpretive because researchers need to understand the subjective, and socially constructed meanings of what is being studied. The methodology of this study will be a qualitative single case study. The methods that will be utilized will be
interviewing managers that create and implement policies that affect employees.

Northhouse (2016) describe transformational leadership as a style of leadership where a leader gets involved with subordinates and get them involved in the
change process. This style of leadership may improve morale, motivation, and job performance.
Urban and Boetz (2016) found that when employees have positive moods they are more likely to perform better, and attain goals versus an employee with a negative mood.

Topic:  “Perhaps the World Ends Here” by Joy Harjo Description: Length and Format: minimum 800 words; 12-Font, Double-Spaced Your task is to generate a topic and to produce an essay on any poem we have discussed. The essay must consist of textual analysis and should not merely be a summary of the plot. You must have a coherent thesis, topic sentences for each body paragraph, and a title. A focus on literary language, devices and details is part of the assignment. Your analysis must blend citations with interpretive descriptions. Because the essay is an interpretation—and not a summary or “book report”—your thesis must make a particular point with which a reader could potentially disagree and for which you will use textual evidence as support using the MLA format for in-text citations. Your thesis should not be the statement of a fact, but an interpretive claim that it is the job of the essay to support. A sample thesis:”By keeping Iago’s underlying intention a mystery, Shakespear
